]]> The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) and the Next Step Foundation (NSF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 30, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya, marking a pivotal step toward inclusive economic development.
This strategic alliance brings together KNCCI’s robust business network and NSF’s expertise in empowering marginalized groups—including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), women, and youth. The partnership aims to expand access to entrepreneurship, employment, and digital skills across underserved communities.
Key Areas of Collaboration:
•Entrepreneurship Support: Launch programs and mentorships to help PWDs, women, and youth start and grow businesses.
•Job Placement: Link NSF-trained individuals to jobs and internships within KNCCI’s member network.
•Digital Skills Training: Co-develop vocational and digital training programs to boost employability.
•Inclusive Policy Advocacy: Engage stakeholders in policy dialogues promoting economic inclusion and disability rights.
•Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate on research and share best practices to inform strategy and action.
•Joint Events: Organize expos, job fairs, and campaigns showcasing inclusive success stories.
“This partnership is a game-changer for inclusive economic development in Kenya,” said Dr. Erick Rutto, President of KNCCI. “By combining our network with NSF’s innovation, we are opening doors for those historically left behind.”
