The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), led by President Dr. Erick Rutto, proudly participated in a high-level engagement at State House Nairobi, where H.E. President Dr. William Samoei Ruto and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan oversaw the signing of seven landmark Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between Kenya and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
A key highlight was the formal establishment of the UAE–Kenya Joint Business Council (UKEJBC)—a strategic initiative between KNCCI and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The Council aims to deepen private sector collaboration, unlock trade and investment opportunities, and advise both governments on policies to support bilateral economic ties.
The Council will bring together leading industry representatives from both nations and hold annual meetings alternating between Kenya and the UAE. It will focus on supporting Kenyan MSMEs, increasing exports, and attracting investment in infrastructure, energy, and logistics.
President Ruto reiterated Kenya’s commitment to private sector-led growth and emphasized the importance of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the UAE.
KNCCI remains committed to fostering global partnerships that drive inclusive growth and enhance the competitiveness of Kenyan enterprises.
