This morning, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the National Treasury, officially kicked off a nationwide sensitization programme for suppliers and contractors on the e-Government Procurement system.

The trainings witnessed a remarkable turnout not only here Mombasa and Isiolo but across the country.
The numbers demonstrated a strong appetite among businesses to understand the new processes, comply with requirements, and position themselves to competitively bid for government opportunities.
This enthusiasm confirms what we have always known: Kenyan enterprises are ready to do business with government when access is transparent, information is available, and the rules are clear. Our joint responsibility now is to match that energy with continuous support, practical training, and responsive technical assistance so that more firms can successfully participate in public procurement.
