KNCCI continues to champion strategic global partnerships, and our recent visit to Almarai—Saudi Arabia’s leading dairy and food processing company—highlighted immense opportunities for Kenya’s agribusiness sector.
The KNCCI delegation, led by Chamber Vice President Mustafa Ramadhan engaged with Almarai’s leadership to explore avenues for knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and investment partnerships in food and dairy production.
Established in 1977, Almarai operates the world’s largest vertically integrated dairy farm, with:
- 19,000 milk-producing cows, 42 liters average daily milk yield per cow
- A 15 square kilometer central processing plant
- A diverse team of 590 staff from 8 nationalities
- Over 669 product lines and USD 2B+ annual turnover
Almarai’s food service division, valued at USD 3.3 billion, is a key contributor to Saudi’s USD 15 billion food service market—an inspiring benchmark for Kenya’s evolving agri-food sector.
The visit underscored Kenya’s potential in:
- Scaling value-added agriculture
- Expanding dairy productivity and efficiency
- Building cross-border investment alliances in food security
KNCCI is proud to facilitate these high-impact engagements as we position Kenya’s MSMEs and agribusinesses for global growth.
