This morning the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI) in collaboration with the UAE Trade Centre held a consultative meeting at Sarova Panafric Hotel to launch and sensitize Chamber members on the DUBUY.com platform- https://www.dubuy.com/.

The meeting was moderated by Ms. Nemaisa Kiereini who is the Head of Special programs at KNCCI. She stated that most online platforms such as youtube , whatsaap and facebook have good financial returns for their platforms with very few employees showing the power of e-commerce.

The Covid-19 pandemic has seen the world embracing new technologies to enable ease of doing business and that has been achieved my online platforms.

In his welcoming remarks Mr. Patrick Nyangweso, Chief Operating officer at KNCCI, emphasized the importance of the platform to the MSMEs; the platform will open new markets, improve current markets, reduce the cost of doing business and create a digital evolution.

Innovation is one of the key predictabilities in economic development and business transformation. Innovation will bring about employment opportunities and will support cross border trade between Kenya and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Mr. Ramah Madiba Chairperson KNCCI ICT Committee and Ms. Nancy Muthoni, Vice-Chairperson KNCCI Women In Business (WIB) reiterated that digital solutions are a game changer for people in business with best practices.

Chief Guest Chamber President Mr. Richard Ngatia, appreciated the UAE Trade Centre Kenya for its partnership with KNCCI. In his remarks said, Technology is the best way to reengineer business and support the orange economy. The Partnership between KNCCI and the UAE Trade Center Kenya shall assist businesses to explore market opportunities in Dubai and beyond. The platform provides ubiquitous connectivity for market access, business growth and discovery.

KNCCI shall launch its Sharjah on the 13th of September 2021, a partnership with the Office by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Upcoming EXPO Dubai 2020 has also ensured that all businesses are digitalized. KNCCI signed and MOU with Etihad Insurance to support business security for exporters.

Mr. Walid Al Falahi CEO, UAE Trade Centre Kenya took the members present through the benefits of DUBUY.com platform to sensitize them on the End-To-End Delivery for and demonstrate the assurance goods are secure and handled by a global leading logistics provider. Mr. Mohamed Sheikh Managing Director, African Salihiya Cargo and Clearing a successful logistics company with global headquarters in Dubai, UAE took the members through the various services offered by the company in air, sea and road logistics.

The Chief Executive Officer Mr. Samuel Matonda wrapped up the meeting by encouraging the members to take advantage of the e-commerce platform to exhibit their goods, faster buying process, customers can spend less time shopping for what they want, Cost reduction, Affordable advertising and marketing and Flexibility for customers.
