The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI) works closely with various embassies to promote the growth of the country’s economy by increasing trade, promoting investments, collaboration on bilateral and multilateral trade agreements.

The Counsellor, South African High Commission in Kenya Ms. Zanele Sanni this morning paid a courtesy visit to the KNCCI leadership and management led by the Chamber 1st Vice President Dr. Erick Rutto, the purpose of the visit was to cement the existing relationship and establish a rapport between KNCCI and the High commission.

Kenya is among South Africa’s leading trading partners in Africa and a major recipient of Foreign Direct Investment from South Africa

Kenya has experienced a trade imbalance with South Africa. This is premised on the fact that Kenya is primarily an agricultural economy while South Africa is advanced in manufacturing, mining, service and technology, which makes it able to produce high value goods at low costs.

KNCCI Chairman Economic Diplomacy Mr. Ronald Meru appreciated the visa-free regime noting that it will boost trade between the two countries.

Ms. Zanele appreciated KNCCI- Nairobi Chapter for organizing the South Africa- Kenya Business Networking Seminar that took place on the 21st February,2023 .

South African High Commission in Kenya will host the Kenya Trade week in South Africa to enable Kenyan products to access the South African market.
