Today the Chamber President  Dr. Erick Rutto represented KNCCI at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two labor export associations, The Association of Skilled Migrant Agencies of Kenya (ASMAK) and The Kenya Association of Private Employment Agencies (KAPEA).

The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration aimed at creating opportunities for both skilled and unskilled unemployed Kenyans, enhancing growth, and improving service delivery. KNCCI is dedicated to fostering strong partnerships with labor-importing countries, including the Kenyan government, embassies, Council of Governors, and other chambers, to generate employment prospects for Kenyans.

He emphasized the need for structured engagement and a favorable environment within the labor export ecosystem, both domestically and internationally. The Government of Kenya places labor export at the forefront of its agenda, aiming to generate millions of jobs for the unemployed.

The objectives of this MoU encompass:

  • Facilitating access to regional and international labor markets.
  • Collaborating with and involving the associations in the export labor sector.
  • Advocating and negotiating for global labor export opportunities with local and foreign governments.
  • Categorizing and standardizing KNCCI’s annual membership.

The MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by ; Laikipia Governor Hon. Joshua Irungu, Chairlady of the Labor Export Committee Ms. Cynthia Kamau, KNCCI National Director Mr. Omar Sadik , KNCCI CEO  Mr. Patrick Nyangweso, Company Secretary  Mr. Njuguna Kihara,  KNCCI Meru Vice Chairman Ken Mutai , representatives from ASMAK and KAPEA
