Following the Gulfood Exhibition, the Kenya Pavilion in Dubai hosted a high-level courtesy visit by Kenyan government officials and Dubai authorities, underscoring strong institutional support for Kenyan exporters seeking to access the UAE and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market.
The engagement was convened at the invitation of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Dubai Chapter, under the leadership of its Chairman, Mr. Salat Ali. The visit brought together Kenyan government representatives, KNCCI leadership, and exporters exhibiting at Gulfood, reinforcing KNCCI’s central role in coordinating trade diplomacy and private sector participation in the region.
Notably, the visit was attended by Mr. Mustafa Ramadan, Vice President of KNCCI, whose participation reaffirmed the Chamber’s national leadership commitment to supporting Kenyan exporters on international platforms. He was joined by Hon. Mohamed Ilmi, Chairman of the Kenya Livestock Sector, Mr. Richard Kylum, Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Livestock, representatives of the and participating exporters.
Discussions focused on the strategic role of the Kenya Pavilion as a KNCCI-supported platform for exporter verification and market entry. Emphasis was placed on ensuring Kenyan businesses engage with credible, vetted partners before concluding trade deals, while benefiting from institutional safeguards that promote transparency, trade protection, and compliance with internationally recognized payment and trade practices.
The Pavilion was further highlighted as a conduit for access to trade and export insurance solutions, helping exporters mitigate financial and operational risks. Its location in Dubai positions Kenyan products at the heart of a major global trading hub, enhancing visibility and facilitating access to key GCC markets, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Through sustained collaboration between KNCCI, the Government of Kenya, and the private sector, the Kenya Pavilion continues to serve as a strategic gateway—providing Kenyan exporters with confidence, credibility, and structured institutional support as they expand into the GCC market.
