The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry is pleased to invite you to be part of the digital continental launch of the ICC-UNECA Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE) in Africa on 16 September at 13.30 EAT. The launch event will focus on the new partnership between the International Chamber of Commerce and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the programmes which are already available in Africa. During this event, the hosts of the first four hubs in Africa (Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria and Ghana) will be introduced.
The launch follows the inauguration of the ICC first hub in Istanbul in February 2020 and the hub in Beirut October 2020. The ICC CoE is now expanding its presence in the African region to prepare and mobilize the next generation of entrepreneurs. The hub will enhance development of skills for young people who face uncertain employment prospects, to helping catalyse local entrepreneurship and the jobs of the future. The main goal is to enable individual citizens to build meaningful livelihoods and to ensure they do this in a functioning market economy.
The Centre will serve as a platform to scale globally the most successful local and regional entrepreneurial initiatives driven by Chambers of Commerce and Innovative partners. This will leverage on digital connectivity to pair entrepreneurs with experts from the UN and ICC’s global network to provide virtual mentoring and coaching.
