On Sunday 25th June ,2023 the Chamber President Dr.Erick Rutto led a business delegation to China with the aim of exploring business opportunities between Kenya and China and also to create a working relationship with various organizations to facilitate trade flows for KNCCI members .

On Monday 26th June, Being the first day of the mission, The Chamber President accompanied by the business delegation visited three organizations; SIRIM Industrial Research, Meigui and the Mining Association of Hunan.

SIRIM Industrial Research which is a certification body for importers ,manufacturers and distributors .SIRI is keen to work with KNCCI to support the members through training on standards and certification of goods to achieve the importation standards .This will be done in collaboration with Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBs) which was represented by the Director Dr.Henry Rotich .In addition to the trainings SIRIM is also keen to partner with KNCCI on short term programs for specialization in different sectors , offer scholarships for  graduates in the biomed & technology and   to  set up a laboratory  in Kenya.

Meigui is a well known beauty and healthcare company in Changsha, China and has attracted over 20% of the Chinese market and would like to set up in Africa with an end goal of penetrating the Kenyan market.

The Mining Association of Hunan expressed interest to partner with KNCCI on the mining system chain especially on technology , Industrial equipment and finance .The Association will work with KNCCI through the existing partnership with the Chamber of Mines and academia institutions to provide members with the latest expert consulting on Mining .
