Bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Kenya are traditionally friendly. Both Kenya and Serbia enjoy a cordial relationship with Serbia having an embassy in Nairobi Kenya and Kenya having a consulate in Belgrade.

This morning the Chamber President, Dr Erick Rutto, hosted the Ambassador of Serbia to Kenya Mr. Dragan Zupanjevac. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the existing bilateral relations between the two countries through various activities that would be of mutual benefit for businesses to both countries.

Their discussions centred on sectors of agriculture, affordable housing, ICT, horticulture, tourism and health. The ambassador mentioned the offer of scholarships for Kenyan students to pursue education in Serbia.

The Serbian embassy in Kenya has organized an incoming trade mission scheduled for 4th September 2023. The high-level delegation from Serbia will be here to explore investment opportunities in the aforementioned sectors and also for collaborative opportunities with the Kenyan counterparts. The two parties agreed that a follow-up outgoing trade mission to Serbia would be organized at a convenient date that would offer Kenyans a platform to explore more business opportunities in Serbia.
