The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) – Garissa Chapter, in partnership with the Garissa County Government, convened a one-day stakeholder workshop aimed at addressing critical trade-related policy reforms to improve the region’s business environment.

The workshop brought together a cross-section of stakeholders including business leaders, representatives from various levels of government, and development partners. The discussions focused on three key areas: the proposed Trade Bill, the current Finance Act, and stakeholder feedback on the 2024/2025 Finance Bill.

The forum provided a platform for meaningful engagement and constructive dialogue, with participants sharing insights, challenges, and recommendations to shape a more inclusive and effective policy framework. By promoting inclusive participation, the session sought to align policy with the practical needs of the private sector, foster a more enabling investment climate, and support sustainable economic growth in Garissa.

Speaking at the forum, KNCCI–Garissa officials emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the public and private sectors. They underscored the Chamber’s commitment to facilitating business-friendly reforms that drive innovation, resilience, and long-term prosperity.

KNCCI–Garissa expressed its gratitude to all stakeholders for their valuable contributions and ongoing support. The Chamber remains dedicated to championing private sector development and ensuring that Garissa is positioned as a key player in Kenya’s economic transformation.
