This afternoon, the Kenya-China Cooperation Committee, led by its Chairperson Ms. Betty Xui, visited The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI) as part of the “Light up Kenyan villages” program. They were received by Chamber President Dr. Erick Rutto and National Director Mr. Ken Onditi,MBS.

The Chamber President expressed his gratitude for their dedication to Kenya, especially so soon after signing an MoU in Beijing. He reassured them of both the private sector and government’s support in fostering collaboration between Kenya and China, focusing on key areas like coffee, large irrigation projects, electric vehicles, and hydrogen carbon.

Ms. Betty Xui, Chairperson of the Kenya China Cooperation Committee, thanked the Chamber President for his support. She emphasized their eagerness to explore new energy and agricultural opportunities in Kenya. This visit marks a step towards fulfilling the commitments made under the MoU signed during the Belt and Road Initiative in Beijing, aimed at promoting Kenya’s industrialization.

The delegation is currently taking part in a business-to-business forum organized in collaboration with Ikapamedia and RecoSib offering opportunities for growth, partnerships, knowledge exchange, and alignment with broader economic strategies, which are essential for the development and diversification of Kenyan businesses.
