Alpharama Limited is a key player in Kenya’s leather production and export sector. Their operations involve the procurement and processing of hides and skins from the East Africa region.

Yesterday the Company’s founder Dr. Rao hosted the KNCCI Membership committee Chairman Mr. Said at Alpharama’s facility in Athi River. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and explore potential collaboration between Alpharama and KNCCI to advance the leather industry in Kenya.

Kenya has a well-established leather industry that encompasses various stages of the value chain, from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing finished products. The strategic emphasis on value addition within Kenya’s leather industry has the potential to unlock numerous business prospects and make a substantial contribution to the country’s economic growth. This approach not only benefits the national economy but also generates employment opportunities while enhancing Kenya’s global competitiveness in the leather market.
