The French have been instrumental in fostering international trade and commerce, having founded the International Chamber of Commerce in 1919. The Trade and Investment Office – Embassy of France in Kenya (Business France East Africa) led by Regional Director, Stephane Perchenet and BPI France Area Advisor East and Austral Africa Ramzi Ajami held discussions with the Kenya Dairy Board, MD Margaret Kibogy, KNCCI leadership led by  Dr. Erick Rutto and Chamber  Vice President Mr.Mustafa Ramadhan The discussions centered on the following topics:

  • Trade Missions

 BPI French delegation visiting Kenya from March 3-7, 2024, with a B2B forum on March 4.

Upcoming trade missions in Agri-foods and Mining. Matchmaking between Kenyan companies and French firms, with growing investments in Sports, Cosmetics, Infrastructure.

  • Investment Financing and Export Credit

BPI offers investment financing and export credit. Minimum financing of €1M for 2-12 years at European interest rates of 4-8%. Financing aimed at purchasing goods and machinery from France.

  • Support for SMEs

BPI’s support includes SMEs, startups, linkages, and international internships. France, a leader in the dairy industry, is open to supporting Kenya Dairy Board in milk transformation and product diversification. Collaboration for value addition and joint programs in the dairy sector.Kenya Dairy Board’s strategic plan (2023-2032) aligns with Business France’s sector plans.
