The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) has maintained a productive alliance with the Embassy of Belarus in Kenya, focusing on connecting Kenyan businesses with the international market, particularly in Belarus.

This collaboration has been instrumental in facilitating international trade links for counties. This morning the Chamber President Dr. Erick Rutto, , along with the board of directors, welcomed the Belarusian Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Pavel VZIATKIN and the Trade Counsellor Mr. Maksim Supanenko, to discuss trade opportunities. KNCCI plans to leverage its county chapters to identify and promote businesses in key sectors such as tea, coffee, agro-processing, chili production, and horticulture’s fresh produce for the Belarus market.

Additionally, the engagement of the Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA), led by CEO Mr. Sammy Naporos, shows the regional commitment to harnessing this international partnership. KVDA, covering regions rich in diverse agricultural products like honey, mango fruit juice, and bamboo seedlings, aims to introduce these products to the Belarusian market.

This meeting also set the stage for future collaborations, including a site visit by the Belarus delegation to Karen Roses Ltd scheduled for tomorrow, a testament to Kenya’s vibrant cut flower industry’s appeal to Belarus. The concerted effort by KNCCI and its partners illustrates a strategic push to broaden Kenya’s export horizons, enhancing bilateral trade relationships with Belarus and showcasing the depth and diversity of Kenyan products on the international stage.
