Nairobi, Kenya – The newly appointed Minister Counsellor, Mr. Zhou Zhizhong, from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, paid a courtesy call to the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) today. The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations between the two countries.

During the meeting with KNCCI President Dr. Erick Rutto and CEO Ahmed Farah, HSC, both sides discussed a range of initiatives to enhance economic cooperation: capacity building, trade facilitation, market access, investment opportunities, WCF Africa Summit, and educational exchange.

“We are committed to deepening bilateral and investment ties,” said Mr. Zhou Zhizhong. “By working together, we can create new opportunities for growth and prosperity for both our countries.”

Dr. Erick Rutto expressed his gratitude for China’s continued support and emphasized the importance of strengthening investment ties with Kenya. We look forward to implementing the agreed-upon initiatives and exploring new avenues for collaboration,” he said.

Both sides agreed to strengthen their mutual cooperation and partnership.
